"They went to a place called Gethsemane, and Jesus said to his disciples, “Sit here while I pray.” 33 He took Peter, James and John along with him, and he began to be deeply distressed and troubled. 34 “My soul is overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of death,” he said to them. “Stay here and keep watch.” Going a little farther, he fell to the ground and prayed that if possible the hour might pass from him. 36 “Abba,[a] Father,” he said, “everything is possible for you. Take this cup from me. Yet not what I will, but what you will.” Then he returned to his disciples and found them sleeping. “Simon,” he said to Peter, “are you asleep? Couldn’t you keep watch for one hour? 38 Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.” Once more he went away and prayed the same thing. 40 When he came back, he again found them sleeping, because their eyes were heavy. They did not know what to say to him. Returning the third time, he said to them, “Are you still sleeping and resting? Enough! The hour has come. Look, the Son of Man is delivered into the hands of sinners."

耶稣怕与天父分离。来自天父的平安在恐惧中给予安宁。唯有神的儿女了解如何在苦难之中能感到平静。
马可福音14章35节
关键点：天父
耶稣与天父具有亲密的关系。那平安要从我们对神的坚固和深厚的认識知。即使我们失败过，天父的智慧却不会耗尽智慧。即使我们不明白，天父仍然掌权。若我们能称祂为阿爸天父，我们就能在天堂能拥有了家。
马可福音14章37-39节
耶稣说出一样的祷告。
意思是我们必要谨慎。我们一定要不断的祷告和谨慎，因有两件事易于被偷走 ：
1. 钱财
2. 平安
因此耶稣教导我们要不断地祷告，使我们能保持平安。
马可福音14章40-41节
耶稣说你们还在睡觉休息吗？够了，起来。这是什么意思？
当耶稣说你还在睡觉休息吗，耶稣能使他们睡着了。 即使耶稣知道快发生的事情，祂仍然与门徒同在并且保守了他们。因为犹大将来时，他们仍然在耶稣的旁边。这就是耶稣等着的原因。耶稣也会为我们做同样的事，祂将赐给我们祂的平安，单单来自神儿子的平安。
