Holy Spirit is My Best Friend

"But very truly I tell you, it is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Advocate will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you"
(John 16:7 NIV)

Who is the Holy Spirit? Is He still given today, not just in the era of the apostles? Is He equally significant like God the Father and God the Son, Jesus who died on the cross? Maybe, oftentimes we obscurely harbor questions regarding the Holy Spirit in our heart. The scripture above can answer all those questions. Jesus had once instructed His disciples that the Holy Spirit was so crucial for them that the Son of God had to leave for Him to come. The Holy Spirit is my most beloved Friend!

I had witnessed myself how the sick was miraculously healed in the presence of the Holy Spirit. He filled and quenched their souls with hope and joy. No wonder that those people were healed from stroke, mental illness, and many others. I had witnessed myself how a thirty-one-year-old lady, born lame, leaped on her feet all of a sudden and walked for the first time in her life; A man, came laying weak on his mat, went home carrying the mattress that once carried him. What a mind-blowing scene to behold! The miracles we read in the Bible still happen through the presence of the Holy Spirit!

For all of you who are expecting miracles in your lives, this is how you can fellowship with the Holy Spirit, your best Friend:

  1. Pray with faith
Pray believing that your best Friend surely listens to you. Wen we pray whole-heartedly, He takes your prayer seriously. Our determination in prayer can activate the power of the Holy Spirit. Such prayer is so powerful it can bind evil spirits and diseases, releasing miraculous power. The principle in praying is if we believe half-heartedly, there will be no answer! Total trust is absolute if we are to see the manifestation of God's power.

  2. Pay the price by fasting
The secret of experiencing a greater dimension of the power of the Holy Spirit is to pray and fast. Through fasting we acknowledge that we need the Holy Spirit more than our body needs food. Fasting is not just about not-eating, but about giving out our personal rights and enjoyments to Him; causing His power to flow freely and powerfully upon us.

Assuredly, your prayers shall be answered miraculously because the Holy Spirit is a best Friend who cares for His friend! He has the power to change our infirmities into a powerful healing testimony!

Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us. (Romans 5:5 NKJV)
