"Taking the five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven, He gave thanks and broke the loaves. Then He gave them to His disciples to distribute to the people. He also divided the two fish among them all. They all ate and were satisfied, and the disciples picked up twelve basketfuls of broken pieces of bread and fish. The number of the men who had eaten was five thousand."
(Mark 6: 41-44)
One word from God can change our entire life. Being in the dark is an opportunity to seek God's face. When troubles come, don't run and look for answers from this world. When we are in crisis, that is the time for miracles to happen.
Always utilize what we have in order to gain what we don’t have yet. Manage what has been entrusted to us first and surrender them to God. Be a giver if we want to receive. These days, let’s learn to give, for example giving time or praise.
Through the miracle of Five Loaves and Two Fish, LORD Jesus teaches us:
- To learn to be content and grateful for what we have. Multiplication will only happen when we look up and give thanks for the five loaves and two fish.
- To learn to categorize problems according to their categories and types. We must be able to sort out our problems. If we can classify which category our problem is, then God will tell us the solution according to that category. Just believe, there will be a way in Christ.
- To learn to appreciate blessing until its last drop. God is able to give us miracles beyond the theology we have known so far. God teaches us to learn and appreciate every little blessing.
